My lessons are personalised to individual guitar goals and best suited to adult and young-adult intermediate and beginner guitarists looking for creative ways to engage with the guitar with a focus on rhythm guitar, fretboard memory, music theory and songwriting.

    Just like any other art form songwriting is a learnable skill... it's also therapeutic, cathartic, self-explorative and fun. Whether you're an aspiring songwriter or complete beginner I'd love to work with you to help develop your songwriting skills and song ideas.

    Each session includes a follow up email with notes of things discussed and other ideas and standard release of copyright letter - note there is no need or expectation to share writing credits should you take on any of my feedback in your song.

    It's never too late to learn something new. My beginner guitar lessons are perfect for young adults and adults looking to develop a new skill in a relaxed setting.

    I approach guitar as a songwriter. These lessons are best suited to those looking for a practical way to physically and mentally engage with the guitar in a fun and creative way. These lessons focus on rhythm, chord control, strumming, keys, chord embellishment, fretboard memory common scales, fundamental music theory, and, when wanted, song theory.

    The Young Songwriters sessions are a hybrid guitar and songwriting basics program designed to inspire and encourage young songwriters.
